The cabin manager's family entered the flight control room in operation and took a look inside. However, it was found that there was no provision to punish this.

According to a report on aviation security accidents submitted by Lee Yeon-hee of the Democratic Party of Korea, a member of the National Assembly's Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee, from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport on the 1st, the Seoul Regional Aviation Administration imposed a fine of 5 million won on Jin Air, a low-cost airline (LCC) that caused an unauthorized access to the pilot room in June.

The accident occurred on March 1 on an aircraft bound for Incheon from Da Nang, Vietnam.

About an hour and 10 minutes after takeoff, the captain, who used the bathroom, encountered the cabin manager and expressed his intention to allow the manager's family to enter the control room.

The office manager, who brought her kindergarten daughter and husband from the audience, contacted the captain through an intercom, and the captain released the lock to allow them to enter. At that time, the office manager's family looked around the inside of the control room for three to five minutes.

This fact was revealed when an anonymous informant received a related complaint through the National Newspaper.

Under the Aviation Security Act, air transport operators must establish and implement measures to prevent intrusion by unauthorized personnel and procedures to maintain security in the cabin. Jin Air's own security plan also stipulates that no one should enter the control room except those who are permitted to enter the control room.

The Seoul Regional Aviation Administration judged that Jin Air neglected to control access to the control room and did not faithfully implement its security plan. In response, he demanded a fine of 5 million won for violating the Aviation Security Act and measures to prevent a recurrence.

However, under the current law, there is no provision to punish the captain and the office manager who arbitrarily entered the control room, so it was suggested to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to establish a new penalty for this.
