Police are considering whether to add a "hazardous driving manslaughter" charge to Dahye, the daughter of former President Moon Jae In, who caused a collision after drinking alcohol.

It is applied to cases where people are injured while driving a car even though normal driving is impossible, and the punishment is heavier than the usual drunk driving charge.

In the early morning of the 5th, if you look at the CCTV footage just before the accident, Moon Da-hye stumbles and struggles to get into the car.

After precariously exiting the crowded alleyway, on the main street, they try to turn left in the right lane.

Eventually, he collided with a taxi while changing lanes, and the taxi driver reportedly complained of pain in his neck.

Accordingly, the police are considering whether to charge Moon with dangerous driving death under the Specific Crime Weighted Penalty Act.

Dangerous driving homicide and injury is established when a person is injured or killed in a state where normal driving is difficult due to drinking or drugs.

Injuries can be sentenced to up to 15 years in prison, and death can be sentenced to up to life imprisonment.

In the case of a first offense with a blood alcohol concentration of less than 0.2%, the punishment is heavier than the simple drunk driving charge, which can be sentenced to up to two years in prison.

Based on CCTV footage, the police are expected to add Dahye, who was intoxicated with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.149%, to the charge of drunk driving and dangerous driving death if it is determined that normal driving was impossible.

In addition, the police are also considering whether Da-hye can be charged with illegal parking and violation of signal orders in connection with CCTV footage of Da-hye stopping for about seven hours in an area where parking is not allowed for more than five minutes and attempting to turn left on a right lane.

We are also looking into Da-hye's violent driving.
