On the 27th of last month, police received a report that 6.8 billion won in cash disappeared from a rental warehouse in Songpa-gu, Seoul.
On the 2nd, five days later, the police arrested a man in his 40s, a middle manager of a storage company, in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do.
Mr. A was found to have broken into a warehouse that a customer had rented and used between 7:05 p.m. on the 12th of last month and 1:20 a.m. the next day and siphoned off cash.
It was investigated that the preliminary investigation was conducted and thoroughly planned not to be caught on CCTV on the day of the crime.
It was confirmed that the CCTV hard disk was damaged when the money was moved out of the warehouse.
The police also booked A's mother in her 60s, who helped A carry and store money in a travel carrier and cart.
The police confiscated 4,017 million won from A and are investigating the amount of additional damage and whereabouts.
In addition, an acquaintance of the victim, who used to go in and out of the warehouse, was also booked for theft, but the relationship with A has not been confirmed so far.
