The prosecution is expected to announce the results of the investigation this week in connection with the alleged manipulation of the stock price of Deutsche Motors by First Lady Kim Gun-hee.
The Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office is conducting a legal review necessary to dispose of Kim's case.
The prosecution plans to deal with the case as soon as the review is completed, but inside and outside the prosecution, there is a high possibility that a conclusion will be made on the 17th, after the by-elections and the day before the National Prosecutors' Office's audit.
In the meantime, the prosecution's investigation team has reportedly weighed in on the non-prosecution as it failed to secure evidence of Kim's participation in or perception of stock price manipulation.
However, it is known that Jeonju Son, who played a similar role to Kim, was convicted of "aiding" in the second trial, and recently, statements from Kim and his accomplices were reported in the media, and they are considering the direction of disposal.
