A police chief-level official suspected of sexual misconduct has been issued on standby.

The National Police Agency said it is investigating the details of police officer A, who works at a front-line police station in Seoul, after being put on standby for allegations of sexual misconduct.

Superintendent A is suspected of making sexual remarks to a new female employee, such as saying, "The shorter the skirt, the better."

In the past, Superintendent A was also reported to have been selected as a "great intelligence officer" among intelligence police officers who have devoted themselves to information work for more than 25 years and have excellent work capabilities and contributions.
