At around 12:15 p.m. today (23rd), an object believed to be a garbage balloon sent by North Korea was found in a hill in morning-dong, Uiwang-si, Gyeonggi-do.
Police and fire officials say the balloon was hanging from a tree and the detonator was damaged at the time of discovery.
In addition, it was confirmed that no fire or injuries were caused by balloons.
The fire department said it handed over the balloons to the military after safety measures at the site.
