The cause of death of actress Kim Soo-mi is known to be hyperglycemic shock.
With Kim Soo-mi suddenly dying on the 25th, her son, Chung Myung-ho, director of Morning Flower F&B, said, "The police who investigated the cause of death informed us that the death of hyperglycemia shock was the final cause of death."
Kim Soo-mi is said to have a diabetes level of more than 500.
Hyperglycemic shock is a symptom of a rapid increase in glucose concentration in the blood and a decrease in physical function, which may be caused by external factors such as stress.
Earlier, Kim Soo-mi has been preparing a lawsuit over unpaid appearance fees for the musical "Personal Mom," which she appeared for 14 years. It has been confirmed that the production company has not been paid the performance fee since last year as it has been embroiled in disputes over plagiarism.
Director Chung said, "Actually, my mother was stressed out because of 'My paternal mother,'" and added, "I have been preparing a lawsuit since last year because I have not received a single penny of the performance fee."
The musical "Friendly Mom" is suspected of using some of the contents of the play "Friendly Mom," which premiered in 2007, without permission.
