87% of young people, "If wages and welfare are good, the size of the company doesn't matter."

According to a survey, about nine out of 10 young people think that if wages and welfare are good, the size of the company does not matter.

In July, the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Employment Information Service announced the results of a survey of youth employment trends in the first half of this year on 4,000 job seekers with more than one job experience among young people in 17 cities and provinces nationwide.

Eight out of 10 respondents said they work to earn money for life, and only 7.6% said they work to feel accomplished and rewarded.

Most people answered that wages and welfare were good job standards, followed by work-life balance.

In particular, 87% of those surveyed said that if wages and welfare are good when choosing a job, the size of the company is irrelevant, and the desired wage level was the highest between 3 and 3.5 million won.

The highest percentage of working hours was less than 40 to 45 hours, and more respondents chose special leave, flexible work, and telecommuting as essential welfare systems than financial support.
