Yoon Suk Yeol's president declared a state of emergency last night, but educational sites across the country are operating normally.

The Ministry of Education said in a notice today that all education-related tasks and academic schedules are operating normally.

He then added that if there is a change in the situation, we will inform you separately.

If an emergency martial law is declared, schools can be temporarily closed for student safety, but the Ministry of Education plans to proceed with elementary, middle, and high school and university classes unchanged.

Accordingly, students can go to school at the same time as usual, regardless of the emergency rule.

The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education also said in a notice that all schools should operate academic schedules normally and make every effort to stabilize the school.

Schools were closed across the country after the October 26 incident in 1979, and emergency martial law was declared on May 17, 1980, and schools in Gwangju and universities across the country were ordered to close.
