It has been confirmed that Yoo Si-min, former chairman of the Roh Moo-hyun Foundation, should pay 30 million won to Han Dong-hoon, former chairman of the People's Power, who was damaged by fake news.
The Seoul Central District Court confirmed a ruling on the 20th that former chairman Yoo should pay 30 million won in compensation in a lawsuit filed by former representative Han against former chairman Yoo.
Both sides did not appeal the results of the first trial on the 4th, so the ruling was confirmed.
Former chairman Yoo made remarks in 2019 on YouTube and media interviews to the effect that the Supreme Prosecutors' Office's anti-corruption force illegally tracked his and Roh Moo-hyun Foundation's accounts.
Most of the remarks turned out to be false, and Han, a former head of the anti-corruption force at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, filed a lawsuit for damages worth 500 million won in 2021, saying he suffered damage from fake news.
