This is the view around Woo Won-sik, chairman of the National Assembly, in Hannam-dong, Seoul, after the National Assembly passed a resolution calling for the lifting of the emergency martial law.

The CCTV footage features a total of 13 people, including 11 soldiers and two men in plain clothes.

When the video was released, suspicions were raised that martial law forces were deployed to arrest National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-sik.

In the wake of the controversy, the Ministry of National Defense explained that it was not a martial law army, saying that the troops were deployed to strengthen the guard around Hannam-dong, where the president and the National Assembly speaker's residence are concentrated, at the request of the presidential security service.

However, suspicions have not subsided amid a series of statements that Chairman Woo was also on the arrest list at the time of martial law.

Then the police launched an investigation.

Based on CCTV footage, the police said they are finding out the facts, including the identity of the troops, their units, and the background they were deployed to the scene at the time.

Chairman Woo is protesting against the National Assembly, saying, "Where is the National Assembly speaker asking for personal protection from martial law forces who invaded the National Assembly?" Attention is focusing on whether the police investigation will confirm their identity.
