Yoon Gap-geun, a lawyer for President Yoon Suk Yeol, expressed his official position on the investigation into the alleged rebellion for the first time.
He reaffirmed the existing policy that the impeachment trial comes first, saying that a comprehensive review is needed for the summons notice on the 29th.
In fact, it is interpreted that he has expressed his intention not to attend.
The president also brought up controversy over the right to investigate the martial law incident in the early days of the investigation.
It also suggested the possibility of questioning the legality of the
Airborne Division investigation.
He also pointed out the issue of overlapping investigative agencies and claimed that this was not the third time but the second time that the Joint Investigation Headquarters had notified him of the summons.
It seems to have been conscious of the observation that failure to comply with the summons three times
could result in an arrest warrant depending on the investigation practice.
[Yoon Gap-geun / Representative of the President: (Are you preparing for arrest or arrest warrant?) You seem to be going too far ahead]An official from
County refuted President Yoon's instructions, which he testified, saying that verification is necessary.
President Yoon Suk Yeol was found to have refused to receive a third request for attendance from the government agency and did not provide a lawyer to respond to the investigation.
