U.S. President Joe Biden has postponed his overseas trip ahead of a hurricane landing that will hit the U.S. one after another.

The battle between Trump and Harris is also intensifying over the response to the hurricane that swept through the southeastern United States two weeks ago.

U.S. President Joe Biden has announced a postponement of his schedule two days before his trip to Germany and Angola.

It was deemed inappropriate to leave the hurricane on the verge of landing in Florida and go abroad.

President Biden has called for thorough preparations, saying Hurricane Milton is likely to be the worst storm in a century.

[Joe Biden / U.S. President: It looks to be the worst hurricane to hit Florida in 100 years. God bless you don't, but with current observations, it's likely.

The Florida weather forecaster even shed tears over concerns about the damage ahead, saying it was a super-powerful hurricane at a level never seen before.

[John Morales/Florida Forecaster] In 10 hours, the air pressure dropped by 50 millivans. I'm sorry. It's such a terrible thing.]

Former President Trump was enthusiastic about criticizing Biden and Harris' incompetence, saying the hurricane response that swept away two weeks ago was the worst.

[Donald Trump / Former U.S. President] It was the worst response ever to storms, disasters, and hurricanes. It would have been worse than Katrina.]

Trump has even spread conspiracy theories that the Biden administration is withholding disaster aid to Republican neighborhoods.

Harris criticized Trump for his lack of empathy, saying he is using people's suffering to play politics.

Trump backfired by advertising testimony from a former White House staffer that he did not want to send relief money to Democratic areas during his tenure.

[Olivia Troy / Trump White House Homeland Security Adviser] Once Trump refused to send relief money because California was a Democratic state that had wildfires. So I had to check how many votes Trump got in the affected area and convince him that the people who voted for you were displaced.]

Depending on the extent of damage from Hurricane Milton, which is about to land in Florida, it is likely to emerge as a major issue that will affect the presidential election.
