Prime Minister Han Deok-soo said, "Today, Hangul Day, we are concerned that indifference to the Korean language, abuse of foreign languages, and flooding of new and abbreviated words will be obstacles to correct communication."

Prime Minister Han attended the 578th Hangul Day celebration held at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts today and said, "There are still many challenges to our words and writings."

He then emphasized that he would focus his efforts on building a Korean language ecosystem in preparation for the era of artificial intelligence and a foreign language substitute language project to improve language culture.

Prime Minister Han said, "In recent years, our movies, dramas, and music have been greatly loved by people around the world, and the number of people who want to learn Hangul has increased rapidly," adding, "We will do our best to help more people around the world learn Korean language and writing."
