There are a series of articles highlighting the world of works by Han Kang, who won the Nobel Prize in Literature in Cuba, which established diplomatic relations with Korea in February.

Cuba's most influential state-run newspaper Granma introduced Han Kang, the first Asian woman to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature, in an online article, saying, "His work comes from an existential question of what human beings are and why violence took hold."The media outlet

explained the artist's main history, born in 1970 in Gwangju, South Korea, and introduced it as "a sharp language that has strong poetic roots, sometimes overwhelming us and sometimes making us vulnerable."

Regarding Han Kang's masterpiece "The Vegetarian," he analyzed, "It is infused with feminist colors, and in a conservative and patriarchal society, the spirit of challenge against violence, injustice, despair, and hierarchy is permeated everywhere."

Referring to "The Boy Is Coming" and "Greek Time," he stressed, "Reading the Han River is jumping into the path of reflection, and looking back on humans and self."

Cuban De Bate, an online media outlet known to be edited by the Cuban Journalists Association, also cited AP articles and introduced that the artist's episode, which deeply describes the "personal trauma" received from the May 18 Gwangju Democratization Movement, attracts attention.

"Han Kang has been recognized for his work exploring human suffering and the wounds of Korean history," he said, explaining the background of the Nobel Prize.
