More than 1,000 patients have died from M.Fox this year in Africa.

The Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on the 17th local time that 50 more people died in the past week, bringing the total number of deaths from M.Fox on the African continent to 1,100 this year.

During the same period, there were 42,438 suspected cases of Empox reported in Africa, of which 8,113 were finally confirmed.

Of the 55 African Union member states, 18 have had an outbreak of M.Fox, and most of the cases and deaths have come from the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Jean Kaseya, secretary-general of the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said, "If you don't act, you'll be out of control," and appealed to the international community to keep its promise to support Africa's response to Empox.
