The FBI has launched an investigation into the leak of confidential documents related to Israel's plan to retaliate against Iran.

Reuters and others reported on the 22nd local time that the FBI is working closely with the Pentagon and its intelligence agencies partners to investigate the alleged leakage of confidential documents.

The Pentagon also explained in a briefing that it is taking the leak seriously and that it is focusing on cooperating with the FBI investigation because it is early in the outbreak.

Earlier on the 19th, U.S. Internet media Axios and others reported that two types of confidential documents containing Israel's plans for retaliation against Iran were leaked to pro-Iranian Telegram accounts.

The leaked documents are related to Israel's plans to move military supplies by the Pentagon's National Geographic Intelligence Agency, and the other is that the U.S. National Security Agency wrote Israel's air-to-surface missile drills.

The document is accompanied by satellite images taken from the 15th to the 16th and contains scenes of Israeli military training, which is considered the highest class of confidentiality, U.S. media said.

White House National Security Council communications adviser John Kirby said Biden expressed deep concern over the leak of confidential information.
