The French government is reorganizing its internal think tank in preparation for the possibility of former U.S. President Donald Trump's return to power, the European edition of Politico reported.
The French Foreign Ministry is reportedly analyzing various scenarios that France could face if a second Trump administration is launched and working out countermeasures.
"Trump is unpredictable, but some of his positions are clear," the unnamed source said, adding that preparations were being made for it.
There are concerns in French diplomats that former President Trump will use divisions within Europe to weaken Europe's trade war response, Politico noted.
