Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya condemned North Korea's ICBM and intercontinental ballistic missile launches, but expressed his intention to talk with North Korea.
In an interview with the media, Iwaya strongly condemned North Korea's ICBM launch, calling it a violation of U.N. Security Council resolutions.
He then returned to the Pyongyang Declaration of North Korea and Japan, said Japan's basic position is to resolve kidnapping, nuclear and missile issues, and to sign a peace treaty, and that he is willing to talk.
Foreign Minister Iwaya expressed his intention to strengthen cooperation with the international community, including South Korea and the United States, saying that the North Korean military's dispatch to Russia could worsen the situation in Ukraine and destabilize the international community.
