U.S. Special Envoy for Middle East "A ceasefire agreement is imminent"...Iran to halt production of highly enriched uranium?

The U.S. envoy to the Middle East, sent to Lebanon, expressed optimism that a cease-fire agreement would soon be in hand, but peace in Gaza remains foggy.

In the meantime, it has been confirmed that Iran has offered to stop producing highly enriched uranium to the International Atomic Energy Agency and the IAEA, drawing attention to its intentions.

The Biden administration in the U.S., which has to hand over the administration to President-elect Trump in two months.

White House senior adviser Amos Hochstein has been sent to Beirut, Lebanon, as a Middle East envoy, speeding up last-minute ceasefire efforts.

Hochstein met one after another with Lebanese Parliament President Navi Berry and Prime Minister Najib Mikati to continue detailed discussions on the ceasefire.

Following the conversation, the envoy gave an optimistic outlook that "a ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah is likely to be in hand soon."

But Gaza's atmosphere is quite different.

With the cease-fire mediation process suspended, Qatar has officially confirmed that Hamas leadership has left Doha.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu visited Gaza and claimed Hamas would not be able to rule Palestinian territory after the war.

Meanwhile, Iran has been confirmed to have offered to stop producing highly enriched uranium that can be used to make nuclear weapons in order to prevent the adoption of the IAEA resolution.

According to the latest report, Iran's stockpile of highly enriched uranium stood at 182.3 kg in October, 17.6 kg more than the stockpile in the August report.
