French soccer star Kylian Mbappe, who was sued in Sweden for sexual assault, has been cleared of charges.
Swedish prosecutors say the accused allegedly committed sexual assault and two sexual crimes, but they are closing the investigation due to insufficient evidence.
Prosecutors did not mention Mbappe's name, but local media reported in October that the suspect was Mbappe, citing unnamed sources.
At the time, Mbappe strongly protested the accusations, saying they were completely false and that he would take legal action against defamation.
Mbappe was accused of sexually assaulting a woman at a hotel during a visit to Stockholm, Sweden, in October.
