2024.12.26 PM 03:17
Japan Airlines said at around 7:24 a.m. today that a network device connecting inside and outside the company was attacked by a cyber attack, causing a problem with the user's baggage management system at one point.

Due to system failures, 24 domestic flights were delayed for up to an hour, and new international and domestic flights were also temporarily suspended.

In addition, delays in mail service have also occurred in various parts of the country.

Japan Airlines said it had completed system restoration at 2:20 p.m., and that it would also resume selling tickets that had been suspended.

He explained that the cyberattack caused a system failure, but there was no leakage of customer information or damage to the virus.

The Japanese National Police Agency is investigating a possible DDoS attack that intentionally overstretches the network's normal traffic by excessively increasing the amount of Internet access.
