It is estimated that North Korea has sent about 11,000 troops to Kursk province in Russia to support Russia.

In the region, which Russia is seeking to recapture, the North Korean military is said to be heavily damaged by Ukrainian drones due to its open terrain.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on X (X, formerly Twitter) on the 23rd that more than 3,000 North Korean soldiers were killed or injured in Kursk.

The General Intelligence Service (GUR) under Ukraine's Ministry of Defense claimed that the participation of North Korean soldiers has "not had a remarkable impact" on the situation.
