The sudden autumn weather is good for activities during the day, but the air is cold enough to feel cold in the morning and evening.

Since the daily temperature range is wide to around 15 degrees Celsius, there is also a high risk of respiratory and cardiovascular diseases such as colds.

Reporter Jung Hye-yoon will tell you what to do to prevent it.

Autumn is getting deeper in October,

Morning and evening temperatures drop to around 10 degrees and frost and ice form in some areas.

However, as the temperature rises by nearly 25 degrees in the middle of the day, the daily temperature difference is large.

The daily temperature difference is expected to be around 10 degrees in Seoul this week, but in some areas, such as Paju, Cheorwon, and Geochang, morning temperatures will fall to the single digits, resulting in a temperature difference of nearly 15 degrees between morning and day.

[Lee Jae-jeong / Kweather Forecast Team Leader: The relatively cold, dry air that has moved from the north is located above our country. For the time being, with only some clouds passing through most parts of the country, morning and evening temperatures will drop to around 10 degrees, and there will be many places where the daily temperature range will widen to around 15 degrees.]

As a result, the risk of respiratory or cardiovascular diseases such as flu and cold increases.

[Moon Belief / Professor of Family Medicine at Gangnam Severance Hospital: As immune cell function declines, problems arise in various immune systems. The most common symptoms are respiratory and cardiovascular symptoms. It's important to keep your head and body warm, which is easy to lose temperature.

In the morning and evening when the temperature drops, it is recommended to wear a hat or control your body temperature with several thin clothes.

When taking a shower or bath, it is important to use water below 40 degrees rather than too hot water, and to lower your body temperature with lukewarm water before coming out.

In particular, when respiratory diseases increase, you should drink lukewarm water little by little so that your bronchial tubes do not dry up.

It is also helpful to eat enough vitamins and fruits along with regular eating habits.

[Moon Trust / Professor of Family Medicine at Gangnam Severance Hospital: It is good to eat fruits such as blueberries or fresh vegetables every meal. It's good to eat fatty acid-rich foods such as protein and omega-3, such as nuts and blue-backed fish..]

Experts advised that it is better to exercise regularly even in autumn, when the daily temperature difference is large, but it is better to do it more than 30 minutes a day after 10 a.m., after sunrise, and more than three times a week, rather than too early in the morning.
