Inland Gyeonggi Province fell by more than 10 degrees in a day, reaching below zero for the first time this fall, and it was the coldest this fall in Seoul and other parts of the country.

In particular, snow fell on the highlands of Seoraksan Mountain, and snowfalls in November unfolded.

Today, the morning temperature in Panmunjom, Paju, Gyeonggi Province, dropped to minus 0.7 degrees, and the temperature in Baekhak-myeon, Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province fell to minus 0.1 degrees.

Although it is an unofficial record, not an official observation point, it is the first sub-zero record in inland Gyeonggi Province.

The temperature in Insan-myeon, Hwacheon, Gangwon-do, also dropped to minus 0.1 degrees Celsius, but Gangwon-do recorded below zero once in Pyeongchang's Myeonon on October 25.

In addition, temperatures dropped by more than 10 degrees from yesterday, including 5.6 degrees in Seoul, 1.9 degrees in Cheorwon, 3.7 degrees in Ganghwa, and 5.6 degrees in Geochang, making it the coldest this fall.

This is because cold continental high pressure expanded as the cold, dry air near Siberia went south overnight.

Overnight, about 2cm of snow fell and accumulated in mountainous areas, including Jungcheongbong Peak of Seoraksan Mountain.

This is not the first snow because Seoraksan already recorded the first snow on the 20th of last month.

Seoraksan Mountain is likely to have light snow or raindrops until tonight,

Tomorrow, the temperature is expected to drop by about 5 degrees Celsius more than today, not only in the central part but also in the southern part of the country, and some inland areas will fall below zero.

The morning temperature in Seoul will drop to 4 degrees tomorrow and to 2 degrees the day after tomorrow, when the season is 'Ipdong', the cold will peak.

The agency said the cold is expected to gradually ease as temperatures recover from previous years starting Friday.
