Hwaseong City dismissed comedian Lee Jin-ho, who admitted to illegal gambling on the Internet, from the city's ambassador.
Hwaseong City said it made the decision based on the city's public relations ambassador operation ordinance.
Article 4, Paragraph 1, No. 3 of the Hwaseong City Operation Ordinance allows dismissal if it is deemed inappropriate to perform duties such as dignity damage as a public relations ambassador.
Lee was appointed as a public relations ambassador for Hwaseong City for a two-year term in March last year and worked at various festivals and events in Hwaseong City.
