Kangwon National University Hospital's labor union announced an indefinite strike from the 31st, saying that while the collective action of doctors has disrupted local medical care, the hospital is only shifting the responsibility for the worsening business situation to its employees.

The union of Kangwon National University Hospital said that after voting for and against industrial action for three days from the 21st, 832 out of 1,310 members, 90.8 percent, agreed.

He then claimed that while doctor wages rose 16.4% in the four years from 2019 to last year, employee pay rose only 1.9%.

At the same time, the hospital demanded a 2.5% increase in total wage labor costs and the establishment of special bonus payment regulations to encourage employees' hard work after normalization of management.
