[Busan] Secured 22.5 billion won in state funds for the construction of Busan Children's Hospital

The Busan Children's Hospital Construction Project, promoted by the Busan Metropolitan Government, has secured 22.5 billion won in state funds through project evaluation by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.

Earlier, the city was evaluated for the feasibility of the "Regional Base Public Hospital Functional Reinforcement" project organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare from July to last month.

This project is a plan to create a 50-bed hospital on the land of Busan Medical Center, and 48.6 billion won will be invested, including the state funds secured by the city this time.

Busan Children's Hospital, which is scheduled to open in 2027, will operate five medical departments, including pediatric and adolescent departments, pediatric mental health medicine, and pediatric rehabilitation medicine, 24-hour emergency response, and specialized medical centers for children with severe disabilities.
