The abductees' family group has announced that it will openly spray leaflets against North Korea in Paju, Gyeonggi Province next week.

The Association of Families of Victims of Abductees' held a press conference in front of the Gyeonggi Provincial Government today and said it has completed the production of 100,000 North Korean flyers containing the names and photos of the abductees.

Choi Sung-ryong, head of the Association, said, "I think there is no other opportunity to inform the abduction issue, so I will fly all 100,000 North Korean leaflets in Paju," adding, "We will make them fall in downtown Pyongyang by any means, whether it is two or three times."

"There are many ways to send leaflets even if they are not necessarily balloons," he said, adding, "The purpose is to stop North Korea from talking about issues such as separated families and sending garbage balloons."

The leaflets printed with photos and words on plastic bags included "Yokota Megumi," a symbol of Japanese abductees, five Korean high school students kidnapped by the North, and Choi's father's name, photo, and explanation.

CEO Choi said, "Considering various circumstances, we will unconditionally spray it next week," adding, "We will put only a dollar bill on the front end, and we will not put other items such as USB that we used to put in."

CEO Choi said, "We will announce the specific time and location of public spraying soon."

Previously, Gyeonggi Province set 11 cities and counties in Paju, Yeoncheon and Gimpo as "dangerous zones" under the Disaster Safety Act from the 16th to November 30th, fearing safety threats from residents due to the spraying of leaflets against North Korea.

Gyeonggi-do Province and other related agencies, including the military and police, plan to hold a countermeasure meeting to discuss countermeasures and prevent the actual spraying of leaflets against North Korea.
