Yesterday (24th) around 6:30 p.m., a fire broke out in the 55th supply window of the U.S. Army in Beomil-dong, Dong-gu, Busan.
No one was injured in the fire, but a huge blaze soared over the warehouse and a lot of smoke followed by citizen reports.
Since around 8 p.m. last night, the fire authorities have issued the second stage of response to mobilize all firepower from 8 to 11 nearby fire stations and are working on extinguishing them.
Fire authorities believe the fire started in a freezer inside a U.S. military base and will investigate the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage as soon as it is extinguished.
The 55th supply window of the U.S. military is next to Busan Port to store military supplies of the U.S. military in Korea.
