Gyeonggi-do Provincial Government operates emergency stage 3 for the first time in 12 years due to heavy snow.

Due to record heavy snow, Gyeonggi-do Province launched the third emergency stage of the Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters for the first time in 12 years since 2012.

As of 10 p.m. last night, the province raised its emergency response level from 2nd to 3rd, and more than 1,300 people in 31 cities and counties responded to the situation.An official from

said, "We have upgraded it to emergency level 3 through meetings as heavy snow continues," adding, "If the risk of collapse is expected due to snow accumulated in vulnerable structures such as vinyl houses, please evacuate immediately from dangerous facilities."

also encouraged all employees to refrain from official business trips other than disaster response, and actively utilize parental leave, annual leave, family care leave, and telecommuting for pregnant women and employees who need to go to school and care for their children.
