AI confirmed to be highly pathogenic at a spawning farm in Yeongcheon, Gyeongsangbuk-do

In Yeongcheon, Gyeongsangbuk-do, avian influenza and AI occurred on a farm raising 89,000 spawning eggs.

Gyeongsangbuk-do said yesterday (11th) that it was confirmed to be highly pathogenic AI after receiving a report of suspected AI symptoms.

Quarantine authorities killed more than 89,000 chickens on the farm and ordered farm officials and vehicles to temporarily suspend movement for 24 hours.

In addition, movement restrictions and emergency observation disinfection were carried out on three farms within a 10-kilometer radius and 320,000 animals.

Gyeongsangbuk-do is also inspecting eight farms operated by the same corporation, and restricting movement of farms and facilities in epidemiological relationships and conducting detailed inspections.
