The Jeonbuk Provincial Government evaluated the establishment of the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province, the special law for the creation of a global life economy city, and the enforcement of the so-called Jeonbuk Special Act, which passed the National Assembly in December last year, as "the beginning of the challenge and the beginning of true decentralization of autonomy."

The Jeonbuk Special Act consists of 131 articles containing more than 300 special cases, including the designation of districts and special zones such as Saemangeum Special Employment Zone, the establishment of a foundation for fostering the agricultural and life industry, and the establishment of a foundation for revitalizing the high-tech future food industry.
