The Gyeongbuk National Police Agency arrested an Internet newspaper reporter A on charges of stealing money by threatening to write articles of criticism by visiting local construction sites and waste companies.

Since August last year, Mr. A has been accused of ripping off 12 million won for advertising expenses by writing articles or threatening to put in complaints about illegal yardage and dust at sites throughout North Gyeongsang Province.

In particular, it was investigated that companies that did not comply with the demand filed complaints with local governments to receive fines or suspend construction.
