Thousands of Busan citizens calling for the impeachment of President Yoon Suk Yeol visited Park Soo-young's district office, chairman of the People's Power Busan Party, and held an eight-hour protest.

Thousands of citizens held a protest rally in front of Park's district office in Nam-gu, Busan, this afternoon, calling for the impeachment of President Yoon and the dismantling of the people's power.

The protest began around 11 a.m. when about 30 people, including officials from the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions, visited Park's office and demanded that he clarify his position on the civil war.

Since then, protesting citizens have flocked to a sit-in to call for a meeting, and the rally has concluded with a meeting between the protesters' delegation and lawmaker Park.

Protesters asked Park to clarify her position on impeachment, and Park declined to give an immediate answer, saying it was a matter for the Constitutional Court to decide.

The delegation said it only confirmed the difference in position with lawmaker Park and said it would launch a campaign to resign from lawmaker Park in the future.
