"Two X was a hit. I was surprised". Taeyeon is back on music charts after a year.

Taeyeon of Girls' Generation, a group that was popular with "To. X," is aiming for the top of the music charts with a new song in a year.

Taeyeon will release her sixth mini-album "Letter To Myself" at 6 p.m. today (18th).

Taeyeon said, "One of the To Do List that has been written for a long time has been reduced. I feel quite a sense of accomplishment," he said.

This album was intended to convey a warm message of consolation through Taeyeon's affirmation of herself as a subject and object.

Taeyeon explained the message of the album, saying, "I want to say to myself, 'Let's do what we always do,' and to the listeners, 'I hope I will continue to be thirsty and I will fill you up steadily.'

The title song "Letter to Myself" is a pop genre song, and you can see Taeyeon's explosive singing in a dramatic atmosphere. The lyrics are an honest letter from the speaker of the present to himself in the past, who made himself sick.

Taeyeon explained, "If you say something to me, it can get quite serious or heavy, but I wanted to melt it as plain as possible."

In particular, Taeyeon said, "There were different opinions in the process of selecting the title song. Again, I chose a different path from the company," he said.

The album contains a total of six songs from various genres, including title songs, comfortable and calm R&B, and charismatic Pop.

Expectations for the new song are also high, as its previous work "To. X" is still at the top of major music charts and has been popular for a long time.

Taeyeon said, "(The success of '2X' was) frankly unexpected. And thank you," he said. "I hope you enjoy the new song with your body and mind."
