◆ Anchor: Now the university has disclosed the amount of damage caused by the students' protests, and the maximum measurement is that it could be 5.4 billion. If this happens, who should pay for the reimbursement?

◇ Kim Sung-soo: It was also posted on the Dongduk Women's University notice about this. It was posted on the website's notice, and the estimated amount of damage caused by using a locker or such activities ranges from 2.444 million won to 5.44433 million won. If you consider compensating for damages in this part, aren't there people who have damaged it? If the people who did the damage can be directly subject to compensation, and if there is a person who ordered such an act, they may be responsible for compensation in solidarity, so if this part of the civil review is conducted, I think it will be considered in that direction. In addition, apart from civil affairs, in fact, such individual acts such as damage are acts that can be punished under the criminal law even if there is a demonstration. Therefore, if the damage is so serious that it is recognized as a crime of damage, even criminal punishment can be considered, so if it becomes a legal issue, I think a lot of different situations could arise.

◆ Anchor: I think the students raised more than 10 million won even though they did some fundraising activities for the protest. However, there are suspicions that it violated the Donation Act, which must be reported to the government. What kind of corporation is this?

◇ Kim Sung-soo: When you collect donations, the donation method may not be transparent, or the use itself may be used differently from the original purpose of the donation, right? So you can think of it as a law to ensure this transparency. However, the current issue seems to have been raised more than 10 million won when the students were raising funds for the protest. However, under this Donation Act, if you are recruiting more than 10 million won a year, you must go through the registration process in accordance with Article 4. And there are criminal punishment regulations for such recruitment without going through the registration process. Therefore, collecting donations of more than 10 million won itself is a matter of criminal punishment under the Donation Act.
