A civic group solidarity meeting has been launched to pursue the guarantee of the rights of migrant domestic care workers.


The "Solidarity Meeting for Guaranteeing the Rights of Migrant Domestic Care Workers" participated in 31 civic groups, including the Korean Women's Workers' Association, held a press conference in front of Seoul City Hall this morning and declared, "We will fight together in solidarity with migrant workers and fight prejudice and discrimination against them."

He also pointed out, "It is revealed that migrant domestic care workers from the Philippines who entered the country as a pilot project for foreign domestic managers, such as delayed payment of wages, are in a poor working environment."

He emphasized, "We will act to guarantee the rights of all migrant workers who provide care work to Korea, including Filipino housekeepers."
