Chung Seung-yoon, vice chairman of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, will leave the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission early next month.

At today's plenary session at the Sejong Government Complex, Vice Chairman Chung expressed this position, and his resignation will be accepted early next month.

Earlier, in the middle of last month, Vice Chairman Chung expressed his resignation taking responsibility for the death of his immediate subordinate and deputy director of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, who was in charge of the suspicion of Kim Gun-hee's luxury bag, and first resigned from the secretary-general's position.

Following Chung's resignation, only Park Jong-min, secretary-general and vice-chairman, will remain among the three vice-chairman of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission.

Since Vice Chairman Kim Tae-kyu was appointed as a member of the Communications Commission at the end of July, the vice chairman of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission has been maintained in a two-member system.
