Starting this month, Ulsan City will change the practice of reducing disposable products in the government building to mandatory, banning the entry of cups to all government buildings belonging to City Hall.

The Ulsan Metropolitan Government explained that the government office building is a work space, but as it is used as a cultural welfare space for residents, it has banned the use of disposable products to strengthen regulations.

In addition, by the end of the year, the use of disposable cups will be prohibited at cafes located in the government building in consultation with the department in charge.

Ulsan Mayor Kim Doo-gyeom said, "This policy is implemented with the aim of setting an example first by Ulsan city officials, an institution that guides and supervises citizens' use of disposable products. It is inconvenient for citizens to visit public institutions, but we ask you to refrain from bringing in disposable cups."
