More than 40 years ago, the former Jeonnam Provincial Government, where the May 18 Democratic Movement was fierce, turned into a festival hall.

LP boards, typewriters, and entertainment machines, which are rarely used now, bring back memories from decades ago.

The Chungjang Festival of Memories, which marks its 21st anniversary this year, opened in Chungjang-ro and Geumnam-ro areas in Dong-gu, Gwangju.

The theme is "Chung, Jang, Bal, Gwang, Reburned Passion, We Shine Forever", and the subject is fire and light.
