Former U.S. President Donald Trump drew attention when North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, who has been showing off his friendship, made remarks to the effect that he was trying to kill him.

The New York Times said at a Wisconsin news conference that former President Trump "means that we have to protect the president of North Korea who is trying to kill me" as the Secret Service claims that the demands for security have increased at the recent UN General Assembly.

The newspaper analyzed that Trump, who has boasted of his relationship with Kim Jong-un, seems to have confused Iran's threat of assassination with North Korea.

The U.S. Office of the Director of National Intelligence recently informed former President Trump of Iran's assassination attempt, and it was Iranian President Masud Pejeshikian who recently visited New York to attend the U.N. General Assembly, not Chairman Kim.
