A convenience store owner in his 60s, who sexually harassed a part-timer in his 20s and tried to cover up the case by saying he would raise his salary, was also sentenced to prison in the appeal trial.

The Chuncheon Court of the Seoul High Court sentenced 61-year-old A, who was charged with forced harassment and similar rape, to three years in prison as the lower court.

A, the owner of a convenience store in Wonju, Gangwon-do, was put on trial on charges of forced harassment several times, including trying to take off his clothes after completing several parts of the body of B in his 20s to return home from a part-time job on the early morning of August 13 last year.

As a result of the investigation, it was found that A tried to cover up the crime, saying that he would raise his salary after learning that B was in financial difficulties.

Earlier, the first trial court sentenced a victim 40 years younger than him to three years in prison for forcibly harassing him, saying the crime was bad, and A appealed, saying the sentence was heavy, but the second trial court also refused to accept it.
