A court has acquitted a man in his 60s who claimed that he only drank alcohol in the car after parking and did not drive under the influence of alcohol.

The Daegu District Court acquitted Mr. A, in his 60s, of driving under the influence of alcohol, saying there was a lack of concrete evidence.

The court explained that A's claim is not easy to understand, but it is difficult to convict him based on circumstantial evidence or speculation.

In September last year, A, who was handed over to trial for driving 2.4 kilometers while intoxicated with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.128%, claimed that he drank a bottle of soju in the car for 39 seconds after parking and did not drive under the influence.
