Apartment residents sent to 'stole packages and wander around with weapons'

A man in his 40s was arrested and handed over to the prosecution for stealing packages from other residents while walking around hiding a weapon in his apartment.

The Gangnam Police Station in Seoul sent a man in his 40s without detention on charges of carrying a weapon under the theft and misdemeanor punishment law on the 27th of last month.

Mr. A is accused of walking around with a weapon hidden behind his body in his apartment early last month and stealing residents' packages.

He is also accused of slapping and kicking a passing person in the same apartment in May.

The police have taken 'emergency hospitalization' measures and continued investigation of Mr. A, and it has been found that it has now been converted to administrative hospitalization.
