Chungcheongbuk-do is collaborating with local universities with the aim of attracting 10,000 international students this year.

Although the number of international students has increased compared to last year, some point out that conditions should be created to meet the increased number of international students.

Mr. Muhammad from Uzbekistan.

I returned to Korea as a 30-year-old international student about a year after returning to my home country after five years of working in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province.

The problem is the lack of economic conditions and the reality of employment that is not easy for Koreans.

They say that if this problem is solved, more foreign students will come.

According to Chungcheongbuk-do, 4,066 foreign students were studying in the province as of April last year.

The number has increased to 5,484 in a year as it aims to attract local universities and foreign students with a goal of 10,000 this year.

Local universities say they need more support to keep up with the growing number of students.

[Chungbuk University official: (Students) came in, but the dorm isn't built overnight. It's a bit late, but it needs to be resolved quickly..]

Chungbuk-type K-student system to escape the crisis of regional and local universities through education and employment support linked to major projects in the province.

Amid growing voices to create conditions for sustainable growth, North Chungcheong Province said it is looking for a number of ways to support universities and international students.
