"Hamas Al-Qassam Brigade Leader Killed In Israeli Air Raid In Lebanon"

Saied Atala, the leader of Hamas's military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigade, was killed in Lebanon after being attacked by Israel, Reuters said.

Israeli forces attacked a Palestinian refugee camp in the northern Lebanese city of Tripoli on the 5th, Reuters reported, citing Hamas-related media, and Atala was killed along with three family members.

The Israeli military announced in July that it had removed Muhammad Deif, the commander of the al-Qassam brigade that led Hamas's surprise attack on Israel in October last year.

The al-Qassam brigade confirmed in a statement the day before that Zahi Yasser Oufi, the commander of the West Bank's Tulkarem region, had been killed in an Israeli airstrike.

According to CNN, the Israeli military also removed seven members of the Islamic Jihad (PIJ), another Palestinian militant group, through the Tulkarem airstrike.
