On the first weekend after the official campaign for the by-elections and by-elections began on October 16, the leaders of the ruling and opposition parties visited the areas where the elections were held.

People's Power Han Dong-hoon visited Geumjeong-gu, Busan, and Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea, visited Ganghwa-gun, Incheon, respectively to appeal for support.

Han Dong-hoon, the leader of the People's Power, who visited Busan for two days and one night to support the election of the mayor of Geumjeong-gu, reiterated his relationship with Busan.

The opposition's discussion of unifying candidates has been defined as "opposition," raising voices for a vote for a ruling party candidate who will develop the region and produce results.

[Han Dong-hoon / Representative of People's Power: We're going to do a unification show. Everyone, but there are places where it works and there are places where it doesn't, everyone. Geumjeong is not a place where such small skills work!]

Floor leader Choo Kyung-ho, who visited Ganghwa-gun, Incheon, separately ahead of the county by-election, also appealed to the ruling party to select a candidate who can achieve regional development.

[Choo Kyung Ho / People's Power Floor Leader: I'll take care of you as floor leader!]

The ruling party's leadership has worked hard on the traditional strong area of "Su-seong," which is small, but it is attributed to the symbolism of the first election since the inauguration of Han Dong-hoon's representative system.

On the same day, Democratic Party Chairman Lee Jae-myung and floor leader Park Chan-dae also launched support for the Incheon Ganghwa County election.

He stressed that the Yoon Suk Yeol regime is still unable to come to its senses after the defeat in the general election, and that it should be judged again by the by-elections.

[Lee Jae Myung / Minjoo Party leader: It's too serious to wait for the election. It's democracy and representative politics, everyone!]
The government promised support, saying that residents of the border region are suffering from the
government's tough policy toward North Korea, and has also taken out a card to stabilize basic youth income and rice prices.

Ganghwa-gun is considered the "Humji" of the opposition party, but analysts say that Ahn Sang-soo, an independent candidate, is digging into a gap in the possibility of the ruling party's distribution of votes.

Meanwhile, Cho Kuk, the leader of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, who is competing against the Democratic Party of Korea in Honam, focused on winning votes in Gokseong, Jeollanam-do.

[Cho Kuk / Cho Kuk, leader of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party: Mothers photographed our party, making us the third party in the floor. We're number three. It's the third party in the floor. Thank you so much.]

Along with the observation that the results of the by-elections could lead to local elections, there is an interpretation that it is a test of leadership of each party, and the election campaign is getting fiercer.
