In the second round of the Hite Jinro Championship, which was the last major tournament of the Korean women's professional golf and KLPGA tour season, the game committee explained the confusion caused by the wrong signal to end the game. The KLPGA's chief referee,

Songra, explained the situation caused by the malfunction of the game-ending signal on the 4th.

"At 6:09 p.m. on the 4th, when the sunset was approaching, the player's mistake rang to announce the end of the game," referee Song Ra said, apologizing for the confusion in the game's progress.

According to the golf rules, players must immediately stop playing when the end-of-game signal sounds, and if they violate it, they will receive two penalties (in the case of stroke play).

Referee Song-ra said, "The referee's mistake caused the game to end, informing the players that it was a 'wrong signal' and making the game continue."

However, even after the official ending of the game, some players continued to play, raising claims that it was a violation of the rules.

"In the process of explaining the wrong signal of the end of the game, we judged that the players violated the rules by misunderstanding that they could continue the game," the game committee said. "So we did not give the players a penalty."

The second round match on the 4th was delayed by thick fog in the morning, and it was resumed the next day, the 5th.
