'New World' Park Hoon-jung's new work 'Sad Tropical' joins Kim Myung-min, Park Hae-soo, and Park Yoo-rim.

Director Park Hoon-jung's new film "Sad Tropical" has finished casting and has begun filming in earnest.

Today (7th), distributor Mindmark revealed its casting lineup, including actors Kim Myung-min, Lee Shin-young, Park Yoo-rim, and Park Hae-soo, saying the movie "Sad Tropical" cranked in Thailand on September 19.

'Sad Tropical' is a story about children from the killer organization 'Sad Tropical' raised by the 'master' who reigns as the absolute beings of the rainforest, suspecting each other and vowing to avenge their blood in the wake of an incident that will shake their existence. It is a new film directed by Park Hoon-jung, who directed the films "New World," "Witch" series, "Paradise Night," and Disney+ "The Tyrant." In the play

, Kim Myung-min plays a master who rules as an absolute ruler of the rainforest and raises abandoned children as killers. Park Hae-soo will appear as Jang, the oldest member of the "Sad Tropical" organization, to shine his presence.

Park Yoo-rim, who performed impressively through the movie "Drive Micah" and the play "Cherry Blossom Garden," plays JoJo who entered the jungle on her own. Lee Shin-young, who made her name known for Crash Landing on You, played Lou, who was abandoned in the jungle as a child.

In addition, Taiwan's leading actors from generation to generation, including Taiwan's leading actors Lim Baek-kung, Kwan-rok's actor Jin-moon, and Wang Baek-gul, who won the 2023 Taipei Film Festival Best Actor Award, are joining to add to the expectation.
